Susan N. Wilson NEW Leadership® New Jersey 2020 Summer Institute Application

NEW Leadership® is a statewide college women’s public leadership training program at the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers-New Brunswick. This six-day residential summer institute educates college women about the important role that politics plays in their lives, introduces them to successful women leaders, and provides them with the tools to become more involved in the political process.

With the recent shift in public focus towards the representation of women in American politics, CAWP’s mission of promoting greater knowledge about women's participation in politics and government and its over four decades of analyzing and interpreting women’s participation in American politics have provided a foundation and context for our current times. CAWP’s education and outreach programs, such as NEW Leadership®, translate its cutting-edge research findings into action, providing NEW Leadership® participants with the opportunity to learn from scholars and affiliates of CAWP and gain access to its many resources.

The Susan N. Wilson NEW Leadership® New Jersey summer institute is a non-partisan, six-day residential program that will take place June 11-16, 2020 at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. After the summer institute, participants become part of NEWL’s national network of distinguished alumnae.
