Kathleen Rogers

Kathleen is a PhD candidate in political science at Rutgers University and a 2020-21 AAUW American Dissertation Fellow. Her dissertation examines the relationship between gendered political representation and women’s civic engagement through the mechanism of emotions, such as anger, fear, and enthusiasm.

She has worked as a research assistant for the Center for American Women and Politics and the Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling. Her teaching experience includes courses such as Introduction to Political Science Research Methods and Law and Politics. 

Kathleen holds an M.A. in political science and a Graduate Certificate in women’s and gender studies from Rutgers University. She received her B.A. from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, where she worked as the Student Director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion.
