Becoming a Ready to Run® Partner

Launch a local Ready to Run® and elect more women in your state.

What is the Ready to Run® Network?
At the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), we know that women bring different perspectives and experiences to public service -- and that changes the way government works. We also know that when women run for political office, they win just as easily as men. The problem: Not enough women run for office.

In response, we created Ready to Run®, a national network of candidate recruitment and training programs committed to electing more women to public office.

Strengthen the political clout of women in your state by launching your state’s Ready to Run® - a tried and true program that provides a core model while still addressing the unique needs of your state. As a partner, you’ll be joining an established network of seventeen partner states and counting who are making an impact every day.  Campaign trainings for women matter and are effective: over 70% of Ready to Run® participants who run win their races.
