New Mexico will elect one U.S. Senator and three members to its U.S. House delegation.
Senator Ben Ray Luján, a Democrat, is running for reelection. He has raised nearly $2M for his reelection, with about half of his funds taking the form of small contributions. The race is not considered to be competitive.
Democrats Melanie Stansbury (NM-1) and Teresa Leger Fernández (NM-3) are running for reelection from New Mexico.
The total raised by the only Democratic man running for reelection to the U.S. House, Gabe Vasquez (NM-2), with just over $1.2M, is higher than the average total raised by the two Democratic women running for reelection. There is only one Republican woman with campaign finance data: Ndidiamaka Okpareke in NM-1, a long-shot challenger who has raised just $19,301. Stansbury has raised $628,215.
In both parties, women running for the U.S. House have, on average, a higher proportion of small contributions than their men counterparts. Forty-one percent of Stansbury’s funds come from small contributions.
