Women's Political Power Map

She the People is a national network connecting women of color to transform democracy. The organization works to elevate and amplify the voice and power of women of color as leaders, political strategists, organizers, and voters. 

Sisters Lead Sisters Vote (SLSV) is currently conducting research to document the experience and needs of Black woman candidates and to document the historic leadership of Black women in the political space. Through this research, SLSV will document and share the unique needs of Black women candidates to better equip the organizations, parties and people, who seek to support them. This research will also aid Black women who are considering, planning, or running for office.

National Organization for Women

Founded in 1966, the National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States whose goal is to take action to bring about equality for all women. NOW is a multi-issue, multi-strategy organization that takes a holistic approach to women's rights. The organization's official priorities are winning economic equality and securing it with an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that will guarantee equal rights for women; championing abortion rights, reproductive freedom and other women's health issues; opposing racism and fighting bigotry against lesbians and gays; and ending violence against women.  NOW has over 550 chapters in all 50 states that participate in education and advocacy activities. Information on state and local chapters of NOW are available on the national NOW website and through state chapters.

A multi-partisan group of women whose mission is to move South Carolina forward – politically, socially, economically, educationally, and environmentally – through information, connection and engagement of women to political and policy leadership.

Through affiliate chapters in nearly every state, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) promotes the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party; elects Republican candidates; informs the public through political education and activity; and increases the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government. In working toward these objectives, the NFRW concentrates its efforts in the areas of educating, communicating, recruiting, campaigning, fundraising, training and legislative action.

The Southwest Idaho NOW chapter website provides information, updates, and background on  current events and actions relating to  women’s issues involving political engagement, social and environmental justice, and human rights in Idaho.

Supermajority is a membership-based organization that affirms and builds women’s power and serves as a one-stop shop for advocacy, community building, and electoral participation aimed at transforming our country and building an intergenerational, multiracial movement for women’s equity.

The National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) supports the inclusion of women's voices in the Democratic Party. NFDW chapters promote Democratic Party goals and candidates and works to unite women party members behind them. 

National Women's Political Caucus

Founded in 1974, the Tennessee Women's Political Caucus is an active voice for women and families in Tennessee, promoting full and equal participation of women in government and political parties. The Caucus strongly encourages women to seek public office, whether elected or appointed, and supports women candidates for office. It also provides information about upcoming political trainings or workshops from state organizations.

The National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) supports the inclusion of womens voices in the Democratic Party. With 32 chapters nationwide, the NFDW promotes Democratic Party goals and candidates and works to unite women party members behind them. NFDW chapters recognize potential women candidates and encourage their candidacies for office. Members attend meetings, organize educational and political events, volunteer for campaigns, and support candidates for office.

Through affiliate chapters in nearly every state, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) promotes the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party; elects Republican candidates; informs the public through political education and activity; and increases the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government. The Appointments Project^® works to increase equity and opportunity for women by empowering them to serve on civic boards and commissions.

The Center for Asian Pacific American Women strives to nurture Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities by expanding leadership capacity, fostering awareness of AANHPI issues, creating a supportive network, and strengthening communities.

The New Majority NYC builds political power for all women by electing candidates running for office in New York City, identifying as women, and aligning with the New Majority's values and bottom-line issues.

The Trumbull County Republican Women’s Club is a women's group affiliated with the Trumbull County, OH Republican Party.

The United Democratic Women of Maryland Inc. was founded to celebrate women’s right to vote as well as provide an outlet where women come together to meet and support Democratic ideals and the Democratic Party as a body. 

Since 1985, the Center on Women and Public Policy (CWPP) has used gender analysis to challenge fundamental assumptions about politics, law, and economics on issues ranging from human rights to judicial selection and independence. In addition to conducting research on women and public policy, CWPP offers programs to develop women's leadership skills, political ambition, and political knowledge. In the past, CWPP has partnered with area organizations to offer campaign training programs for potential women candidates. CWPP programs are offered for young women, women legislators, and men and women interested in gender, politics, and policy issues.

Utah Women & Politics is an organization of Utah women that raises money to provide financial support to viable candidates of either party, and any gender, who are running for the Utah State Legislature.
