CAWP's Research Inventory on Gender & Politics provides thematic overviews of current and past research, with particular emphasis on the latest findings, in the field of women and U.S. politics. These overviews capture the state of knowledge in each research area to increase understanding of current political realities, support research-based interventions, and generate future research questions and agendas. Users should be aware that topics are not mutually exclusive and overviews are not exhaustive literature reviews. The inventory will be updated annually, with the most recent update completed in April 2026 (inclusive of works published primarily through the end of 2025).
CAWP's Research Inventory on Gender & Politics is authored by CAWP scholars (Kelly Dittmar, Kira Sanbonmatsu, and Paru Shah). We also thank CAWP staff who provided critical research assistance and support necessary to draft and publish these research reviews: Tavana Farzaneh, Thu Nguyen, Marny Requa, and Emma Stewart.
