Beverly Koehler

Mayor, Lebanon Township

Beverly Koehler was elected to her first three-year term on Lebanon Township Committee in 2016, a year that involved a tightly-contested race. She was a newcomer to local government and the only woman on a five-member committee. Her contributions at that time were the result of the seasoned business acumen acquired during her 30+ year career in management at AT&T. Her continued success has been based on several factors including, determination, perseverance, continuous learning, project management and critical thinking skills, integrity, commonsense, authenticity and a much-needed sense of humor.

Bev went on to win two additional consecutive three-year terms in tightly contested races. She is now a legacy member of the Township Committee, with a great combination of experience in both the private sector and government operations. She has earned the respect of her fellow Committee members who have chosen her as Mayor two years in a row.

In addition to her Mayoral responsibilities Bev is also a member of the Lebanon Township Planning Board and is the Township Committee liaison into the Local and Regional Boards of Education.

Outside of her Township responsibilities, Bev is active with the NJ Federation of Republican Women, and served two terms as an appointed member of the NJFRW Board of Governors. She is also a member of the Hunterdon County Federated Republican Women and the AT&T Pioneers Volunteer network.

Bev holds a B.S. in Commerce from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Bev and her husband, Ron have a farm in Lebanon Township that keeps them very busy, but in her spare time she loves to travel both domestically and internationally with her favorite travel companion, her sister, Lynne.
