Christina Schratz
Christina Schratz is a lifelong Passaic County resident, born and raised in the City of Passaic, where she attended public schools and continues to raise her family. She is the proud mother of three children and remains deeply connected to the community she serves.
Commissioner Schratz brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with a career focused on business development, community lending and economic growth. She currently serves as a Vice President and Community Lender with Valley Bank, supporting minority- and women-owned businesses, strengthening nonprofit partnerships and expanding access to financial education and financial literacy programs throughout New Jersey.
A bilingual leader, Commissioner Schratz is widely recognized for her work in financial wellness advocacy, community outreach and mentoring women in career advancement. She is a frequent speaker on financial literacy and economic empowerment.
Her commitment to public service includes serving as a Commissioner on the Passaic Board of Education since 2017, including prior terms as President, Vice President and Chair of the Finance Committee. Her leadership has earned her numerous community and Women’s Month recognitions at the municipal, county, state and federal levels.
Commissioner Schratz remains dedicated to advancing opportunity, equity and quality of life for all Passaic County residents. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking for family and friends, a passion she often shares on social media.
