Danielle Gee
Danielle Gee currently serves as Deputy Mayor and Council member of the Township of Teaneck. Prior to this role, Danielle served on the Teaneck Board of Education from 2021 – 2023. During the 2020 election Danielle was incredibly humbled to have received 10,997 votes, the highest number received by any elected official in Teaneck history! Danielle continues to advocate for transparency, equity and fiscal responsibility in local government. During her tenure on Teaneck’s Council she diversified membership on municipal advisory boards and reopened them to the public. She also reinstated Leadership Teaneck, a civic education course for residents.
Danielle was born in Brooklyn, NY to a Haitian mother and Italian-American father. She lived in Haiti as a toddler but spent her primary years growing up in NYC. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, focusing on public policy. After college Danielle joined Public Financial Management (PFM), a financial advisory firm for government entities including counties, townships and school districts. Later Danielle pursued her MBA from Harvard Business School and upon completion accepted a role at UBS Investment Bank. There she managed institutional client relationships, delivering a suite of analytical products to drive revenue. Yearning to get back to more impactful work, Danielle left Wall Street to work for a non-profit organization, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) which raises money to fund blood cancer research. As Chief of Staff at LLS, Danielle provided critical support to the executive leadership team to assess progress against the organization’s strategic priorities and operating plan. In 2023, Danielle was tapped to participate in the CEO Action Fellowship for Racial Equity where she partnered with over 200 fellows from Fortune 500 companies to advance legislation that addresses systemic inequity. She now serves as Vice-President of Diversity Equity and Inclusion at LLS.
