Olga Carrillo Martinez

Member, Lawrence Township Board of Education

Olga Carrillo-Martinez serves on the Lawrence Township School Board and was the first Latina elected to the position. 

Olga is an active member of the Latino community, and holds leadership positions in clubs, boards and community organizations. Carrillo-Martinez co-founded the Mercer County Latin American Club and the Associacion Latinoamericana de Lawrenceville. She also volunteers for the Mercer County Hispanic Association, The Latino Spirit, Luz, Esperanza Y, the Lawrenceville middle school and Slackwood elementary school PTOs, and Lawrence Neighbors Together. She is also the District 5 Committeewoman for the Mercer County Democratic Committee and is the first Guatemalan woman to hold a leadership position in the county party. She currently works for Every Child Valued, LLC and is a special events coordinator at The Ivy Club at Princeton University.  

Originally from Guatemala, Carillo-Martinez settled in Princeton and attended Mercer County Community College and obtained a double major in Computer Graphics and Advertising Design. She is married to Javier Martinez and has two young children.
