Ready to Run® Indiana

Ready to Run® Indiana is a non-partisan campaign training program presented by the Women 4 Change Leadership series. This program encourages women to run for elective office, position themselves for appointive office, work on a campaign or become involved in public life as leaders in their respective communities. Ready to Run® Indiana is part of a national network founded by the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

The Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series

The Stanley K. Lacey Executive Leadership Series is an annual Indianapolis-based leadership program for young professionals seeking to learn about the issues facing the Indianapolis community from business and civic leaders.  Twenty-five selected applicants participate in once-monthly sessions covering topics like education, government, health and human services, the justice system, diversity, quality of life, and economic development.  Program graduates go on to lead in the community's public and private sectors.

The Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series

Founded in 1989, the Richard C. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series encourages, mentors and prepares selected Republican women leaders to seek new levels of involvement in government and politics.  Up to 20 Republican women are selected annually to participate in eight monthly day-long sessions covering issues in government, campaigns, and leadership development.  The series culminates with a four-day summit in Washington, D.C.  Series Fellows must demonstrate a commitment to seeking positions in government or the Republican Party within 5 years of completing the program.

Leadership Southern Indiana

Leadership Southern Indiana educates Indiana residents about their community, identifies ways to improve the communitys services and effectiveness, and hones individual skills to lead in making those improvements. Selected individuals participate in class days over a five-month period that cover issues like government, art and culture in the region, and leadership development.

Leadership Fort Wayne

Founded in 1983, Leadership Fort Wayne is a nine-month program that trains individuals to positively affect the community through servant leadership. A minimum of 40 participants are selected to participate in nine monthly full-day sessions where area leaders and experts provide information about the community and its history, institutions, socio-economic composition, and current issues. Programs are held in different areas throughout the city.

Indiana Leadership Forum

Founded in 1993, the Indiana Leadership Forum works to prepare indiana leaders for politics, providing training on why politics matters, government, grassroots movement, campaign school, and message and the media.  Successful applicants participate in an eight-month forum (from November through June) of courses/seminars, retreats, and a trip to Washington, DC. Candidates will be chosen based upon their commitment to community service and their willingness to increase their participation in the political process. 

Indiana Leadership Association

Founded in 1991, the Indiana Leadership Association (ILA) is an organization providing information, partnership, networking, consulting, training and facilitation to promote community leadership and collaboration. ILA holds events throughout the year to facilitate leadership development, with a special emphasis on servant-leadership and community building.

Indiana Federation of Republican Women

Through affiliate chapters in nearly every state, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) promotes the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party; elects Republican candidates; informs the public through political education and activity; and increases the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government. In working toward these objectives, the NFRW concentrates its efforts in the areas of educating, communicating, recruiting, campaigning, fundraising, training and legislative action.
