NEW Leadership® Idaho

NEW Leadership® Idaho is a 6-day summer institute that brings together 24-32 college students from across the state to learn about women’s leadership and civic participation through the learned experiences of some of Idaho’s most recognized and accomplished women leaders.  

Leadership Idaho Agriculture

Leadership Idaho Agriculture provides enhanced skills for future leaders in agriculture, rural communities, agribusiness and governmental agencies.  Twenty to 30 participants attend a one-week session each month for four months to build personal leadership and communication skills through tours, guest speakers, panel discussions and group interaction.  Sessions are held at four locations throughout the state.

Leadership Boise

Founded in 1975, Leadership Boise is ten-month program preparing participants for civic leadership.  Each year, 45-48 applicants are selected to participate in monthly day-long sesions examining the community issues and discussing leadership skills.  Session topics include quality of life, education, infrastructure and environment, media, business, healtchare, and community service.  Participants are expected to participate in a second year of the program, where they plan Leadership Boise and Leadership Boise Academy (for youth) sessions. 

Southwest Idaho NOW

The Southwest Idaho NOW chapter website provides information, updates, and background on  current events and actions relating to  women’s issues involving political engagement, social and environmental justice, and human rights in Idaho.

Idaho Federation of Republican Women

Through affiliate chapters in nearly every state, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) promotes the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party; elects Republican candidates; informs the public through political education and activity; and increases the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government. In working toward these objectives, the NFRW concentrates its efforts in the areas of educating, communicating, recruiting, campaigning, fundraising, training and legislative action.
