Women's Research Institute, University of Nevada, Las Vegas

NEW Leadership® Nevada is a six-day summer institute that brings together 25 college students from across the state to learn about women's leadership and civic participation from accomplished women leaders. Students meet formally and informally with these leaders through a series of panels, lectures, and interactive workshops and create lasting networks and mentoring relationships.  Graduates are supported throughout their future endeavors by WRIN, the group's growing alumnae network, and their community partners.  NEW Leadership® Nevada is part of the NEW Leadership® Development Network of the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) at Rutgers University (NJ).

Open to college women enrolled at any college in the state of Oregon, NEW Leadership® Oregon's intensive, six-day, residential leadership training program is specifically designed to introduce Oregon's college women to opportunities for public leadership. NEW Leadership® South Carolina is a residential program that gives college women the knowledge and skills to become effective leaders in politics, public policy and public service. During the four-and-a-half-day Institute, participants will meet women leaders, learn about women in American politics, and develop and practice leadership skills through panel discussions, workshops, and hands-on projects. After the Summer Institute, participants are encouraged to continue to develop public leadership skills and become involved in community affairs.
