
Lori Ciesla
In 2023, Lori Ciesla became the first woman in 22 years to lead the Warren County Board of Commissioners. Ciesla was first elected to the Warren County Board of Commissioners in 2020 and re-elected in 2023.
Ciesla got involved with the town council over a local issue, ran for council in 2012, and won. She became the first female council president in the history of Lopatcong Township in 2014. While on the council, Ciesla helped restart the Recreation Committee, helped create Lopatcong’s Economic Development Advisory Committee, and worked to improve businesses and infrastructure in the township. She also created a Lopatcong Township social media program, enhanced the website, increased their use of technology, began recording our meetings for YouTube, and increased transparency across the board. Additionally, Ciesla was a county appointee to the Phillipsburg Library Commission and served on the MCCTFC Municipal and Charitable Conservancy Trust Fund Committee. She is currently a member of the Warren County Republican committee and loves working on elections.
A lifelong New Jersey resident, Ciesla moved to from Morris County to Lopatcong in 1999, with her husband and two kids. By day she works for a major Insurance company. In her free time, Ciesla enjoys being with her family and dogs, reading, exercising, visiting local wineries and restaurants with friends, and traveling.
