The Main Street Initiative is the Ohio Democrats’ program to train candidates and campaign managers, in partnership with LEAD Ohio PAC. The program gives Democratic candidates and their staff the tools they need to run and win.
The Native Leadership Institute (NLI) is a national training institute created by and for Indigenous peoples, focused on building pathways to leadership at all levels of government and political organizing in the United States. Advance Native Political Leadership is the first and only national Native American-led organization working to address the vast disparity and unique barriers that exist for Indigenous peoples in U.S. politics.
Program Description: New American Leaders is leading a movement for inclusive democracy by preparing first and second generation Americans to use their power and potential in elected office.
Candidate Boot Camp offers online candidate training and free resources for those considering running for office.
The program begins with a week-long, formal training seminar. Upon completion of the seminar, each participant is assigned a specific area to coordinate as a field organizer for a major Democratic campaign.
Developed through FIREPAC, the IAFF Political Training Academy educates and assists campaign veterans and political newcomers alike on how to run for elected office, manage a political campaign or direct an affiliate’s political action program.
EDF Action Campaign Academy gives candidates the tools they need to connect the environment to their local campaigns. Participants will learn about current public opinion surrounding environmental issues, how to craft a values-driven message, ways to deliver a consistent message through all aspects of their campaign, and how to respond to attacks on the environment and their campaign.
Run for Something will recruit and support talented, passionate young people who will advocate for progressive values now and for the next 30 years, with the ultimate goal of building a progressive bench.
We’ll take a chance on people the usual “institutions” might never encounter. We’ll help people run for offices like state legislatures, mayorships, city council seats, and more. We’ll do whatever it takes to get more under-35 year-olds on the ballot.
The NDTC offers free, interactive online training for Democratic candidates running for office. We aim to empower any Democrat who wants to be involved in local politics with the tools needed to be successful.
We believe by working with local candidates, we can accomplish three goals: improve the performance of every Democrat up and down the ticket, elect more Democrats to office, and create a deeper bench of qualified candidates for higher office.
