Louisiana Center for Women and Government

The Louisiana Center for Women and Government and Business at Nicholls State University encourages and promotes the leadership of women by providing resources and non-partisan support through educational workshops, training seminars and outreach programs. The center is committed to promoting women in government and public service, to acknowledging achievements of women and to teaching all citizens about the importance of public service and responsible citizenship.

Leadership Louisiana

Leadership Louisiana is a year-long program to educate civic-minded individuals about the state of Louisiana and its challenges. Selected participants attend six two-day sessions, scheduled approximately every other month, that cover topics including: education and workforce training, the economy and strategies for growth, history and politics, newsmedia, arts and culture, criminal justice, healthcare, and poverty.

Baton Rouge Area Leadership Program

The Baton Rouge Area Leadership Program is a nine-month program to prepare a diverse group of professionals for leadership positions in the community.  Thirty to 35 candidates are chosen annually to participate in monthly training seminars addressing community issues and including lectures, discussions, field trips, and practical exercises.
