Women's Leadership Fund
The Women’s Leadership Fund is an organization that supports conservative candidates, offers educational events to the public, and engages in policy advocacy.
Maine Women's Lobby Education Fund
The MWL Education Fund helps Mainers develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to engage in feminist, anti-oppression-based public policy advocacy and civic life. The MWL does this through programming focused on community building and community-based data and policy analysis in order to increase knowledge, skills, and opportunities for citizens to engage in public policy change.
NEW Leadership® Maine
NEW Leadership® Maine is a six-day, non-partisan residential training program provided at no cost to undergraduate college women throughout the state of Maine. The program educates participants about politics and policy making and inspires them to get involved in the political process. During the six-day program selected students meet with women in a variety of roles in the public sphere, learn about women's political participation, explore ideas about leadership and politics, and participate in hands-on skills building exercises.
Maine Federation of Republican Women
Through affiliate chapters in nearly every state, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) promotes the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party; elects Republican candidates; informs the public through political education and activity; and increases the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government. In working toward these objectives, the NFRW concentrates its efforts in the areas of educating, communicating, recruiting, campaigning, fundraising, training and legislative action.
Leadership Maine
Established in 1993, Leadership Maine educates area business and community leaders on the critical issues facing Maine. Thirty-five to 45 leaders from across the state are selected annually to participate in 14 day-long sessions on issues like the economy, government, arts and culture, and leadership development.
Institute for Civic Leadership
The Institute for Civic Leadership offers a series of leadership programs including: A 15-day Leadership Intensive held over the course of 9 months for senior and middle management of public, private, and non-profit sectors, Programs targeted at matching leaders with non-profit board positions, The Leadership in Action Breakfast Series, where each breakfast forum features a keynote address by an influential and inspiring leader with ties to Maine.
Emerge Maine
Emerge Maine is a political leadership training program for Democratic women, part of the Emerge America network. The Emerge mission is to identify, educate, and inspire Democratic women who want to pursue careers in politics at the local and state levels. Up to 25 attendees are chosen annually to participate in once-monthly workshops over the course of six months. Workshops are held at various locations around the state.
