The program is tailored for progressive, Democratic women who are considering a run for elective office at any level. The trainings are full-day, in-depth workshops exploring the building blocks of campaign communication, fundraising, planning, media relations and grassroots activism needed to run a professional, competitive campaign.

The Sue Shear Institute offers a variety of training programs designed to help women navigate the pipeline to politics. "Pipeline to Public Office" is a non-partisan two-day training program for potential candidates and campaign workers designed to help individuals enter the pipeline to political office and hone valuable political career and management skills.

The Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey, a chapter of the National Women's Political Caucus, recruits and trains progressive women candidates and contributes to WPCNJ-endorsed women candidates through its Political Action Committee.

The New Jersey Democratic State Committee runs three one-day training sessions in different regions of the state every June on the nuts and bolts of campaigning. Women interested in participating should contact the program director for more information.

The Campaign School at Yale University is a nonpartisan, issue-neutral leadership program, whose mission is to increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe.

WomenElect is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that helps women who support reproductive rights build their financial and volunteer networks and fully understand the process of running for elected office. WomenElect offers extended, in-depth training and coaching process that focuses onteaching the unique skills required of candidates for elected office, including, but not limited to, fundraising, public speaking, image development, press/media relations, and leadership development. WomenElect has a network of chapters across New York State.

The nonpartisan WeLead training program successfully positions young professional women to run for office or lead a political campaign.

The Minnesota Excellence Series encourages, mentors and prepares selected Republican women leaders to seek new levels of involvement in government and politics. The nine-month immersion, facilitated by local, state and federal Republican leaders, takes place over five two- to three-day sessions.
