Leadership Michigan

Leadership Michigan is a seven-month program emphasizing community leadership.  Selected applicants participate in six sessions from April through October, including an initial orientation and five two-day sessions held in the main regions of the state.  Each session includes touring local landmarks and businesses; meeting local government, business and community leaders; discussing what makes a leader; and dialoguing about hot regional and statewide issues and other elements that make Michigan unique.

Leadership Detroit

Leadership Detroit gives emerging and existing leaders a forum for discussion and problem-solving on how they can lead the region to success. Approximately 65 individuals participate annually in the program from business, organized labor, government, education, media, civic groups, health services and community organizations, backed by the corporations or organizations they represent.

Candidate Training

Founded in 2004, MI List is a statewide organization and donor network dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women to the Michigan legislature and key local offices. MI List strategically recruits and supports pro-choice Democratic women to create a farm team of viable candidates to run for elected office; they coordinate campaign trainings with EMILY's List, a national PAC for pro-choice women.
