Alene Moris NEW Leadership® Institute is an intensive six-day residential institute open to women students who attend universities or colleges in the Puget Sound region or who have a permanent residence in the area. The program is designed to educate and empower young women for future political participation and leadership. Alene Moris NEW Leadership® Institute is part of the NEW Leadership® Development Network of the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University (NJ).

The AWPA provides support to women candidates running for all levels of office regardless of political affiliation.
