Established in 1986, Leadership Las Vegas is a ten-month program devoted to strengthening and educating community leaders throughout Southern Nevada.  . Forty-eight applicants are selected annually to participate in once-montly sessions and program events addressing topics such as:/ -- the history of Las Vegas/ -- gaming and tourism news/ -- government and politics insights/ -- media and the entertainment scene/-- business outlooks/ -- technology growth/ -- local education infrastructure/ -- growth forecast and real estate/ -- construction trends/ -- health care.  The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce also offers FOCUS Las Vegas, an accelerated, two-day integration into and understanding of the inner workings of the Las Vegas Valley.
