Women Leading Kentucky

Women Leading Kentucky is an educational organization sponsoring programs/services to promote the importance of developing relationships built on respect and mutual support. Area women are invited to the group's annual business and leadership conference, monthly roundtable lunches addressing issues important to women, mentoring, and access to role models. The organization presents itself as a network of both women and men, not a membership organization.

Leadership Louisville

Leadership Louisville is a 9-month program for individuals, businesses and organizations interested in developing their leadership skills and heightening their profiles in the community.  In once-monthly meetings, participants are educated on the current climate and issues facing the Louisville community.  They network with existing community leaders in preparation for leadership roles in the area's public and private sectors.

Leadership Lexington

Leadership Lexington is a ten-month leadership development program sponsored by Commerce Lexington and directed toward individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities. Each year, participants are chosen to meet once-monthly to better understand Lexington and to prepare for the challenges it faces by meeting with and learning from city leaders.

Leadership Kentucky

Established in 1984, Leadership Kentucky encourages community leadership by educating participants on how the states issues are interconnected and by forging new relationships among community and regional leaders. Selected applicants learn about the state of Kentucky and its challenges through a series of seven monthly, two-day sessions, held in various locations in the state.

Kentucky NOW

NOW chapters focus on six priority issues including reproductive rights, ending sex discrimination/constitutional equality, promoting diversity and ending racism, economic justice, stopping violence against women, and LGBTQIA rights. 

Kentucky Federation of Republican Women

Through affiliate chapters in nearly every state, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) promotes the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party; elects Republican candidates; informs the public through political education and activity; and increases the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government. In working toward these objectives, the NFRW concentrates its efforts in the areas of educating, communicating, recruiting, campaigning, fundraising, training and legislative action.

Emerge Kentucky

Emerge Kentucky is a political leadership program for Democratic women, part of the Emerge America network. The Emerge mission is to identify, educate, and inspire Democratic women who want to pursue careers in politics at the local and state levels. Twenty-five applicants are chosen annually to participate in once-monthly workshops over the course of seven months. Workshops are held at various locations around the state.
